These mini rollers are excellent for small jobs. The fabric is high quality 12 mm micro fibre. Made to last, very nice finish and easy to use. Only use ( any) microfiber fabric with water based paints.
This roller is an improved version of the Multicolour roller. We receive comments like” very versatile roller” and “we used it on everything”. The fabric is very durable. The fabric keeps its volume when loaded up and does not flatten.
This type is now the most popular long nap fabric (although some painter still prefer the old version). The Terracotta fabric is made from poly-amide 66 which is specially treated to give the fibres a spring-type feature so it holds it shape better. After production of the fabric the twisted fibres are opened up to increase the active surface of the fibres. It holds therefore up to 30% more paint than similar fabrics.
Poly-amid 66 or PA6/6 is an aliphatic semi-crystalline homopolyamide ( Alifatic is from the greek word for fat, oil). It is know for high strength, stiffness, chemical resistance for hydrocarbons, heat resistant and wear resistance and high water absorption. Poor resistance resistance though to acids and bases. For more detailed information see the Terracotta 21mm Fabric Information
This roller will be replaced by the Terracotta Green. The difference is only the colour pattern: the fabric itself is completely the same.
If you did not try this roller yet you will miss a valuable experience.
Red with blue line ( The green with blue line version is identical)
The high quality Microstripe Teflon 3 Green 18 mm with Teflon ™ surface protector is one of the newer fabrics available. It is the first synthetic roller that behaves a little like lambs wool. The secret of this roller is very fine poly-amide specially spun and twisted and coated with Teflon ™ surface protector . In other words: a very nice finish, good coverage, easy to wash out and exceptional absorption and release of paint. The coated rollers with Teflon ™ surface protector are strong performers in the market. Only available from ROLON and its retail customers.
This is a unique ceiling roller. The rollers has durable, minimal splatter, absorbs well, good coverage and is easy to wash. The fibres stapled poly-amid. Stapled fibres are spun from short pieces like a woolen thread. This means the ends of the separate fibres are spread out between the bottom and the top of the nap.
The stapled fibres need extra attention before use: wash out well and next use the for undercoat to remove all lint from the manufacturing process.
This roller can also be used outside but we normally recommend the terracotta for outside work.
White with wide yellow line ( the 12 mm roller has yellow lines closer together)

These high quality, unrivalled rollers have strong support in the market. An exclusive German produced fabric, made from a continuous poly-amide fiber to reduce lint. Specially twisted during weaving and partly opened up to increase the paint holding capacity. Poly amide is best for water-based paint because it’s affinity to water. Polyester has an affinity to oil based solvents and the special polyester backing of this fabric makes it also suitable for oil-based paints. For more detailed information on the fabric properties and performance see our Goldstripe 12mm Fabric Information sheet.
The previous version of this fabric was made from a discontinuous (called stapled) fiber. This version is now available again and has 2 yellow stripes. We realise that some painters prefer the original fabric which seem to have a slightly better productivity due to the lager number of “fibre ends” inside the nap. The materials in both fabrics are identical. Stapled fabrics always need to be used for undercoat first until all loose fibres are removed. They are a logical result of the way the fabric is constructed and produced.
These Gloss Velour Rollers with 4mm nap are the modern high quality alternative to the mohair roller. Work the roller in and you have a lint free roller that gives you an excellent finish. No need to brush off. This roller is a pressure release roller like the mohair type gloss rollers . Velour is a woolen fibre and mohair is made from goat hair. The backing from our velour roller is cotton.
Some painters will still brush the finished surface off with a very soft Purdy Syntox brush, depending on the requirements of the finish. You also could use a 7 mm Royal roller if you want a longer nap.
